Useless+Creatures

Our society has a tendency to regard dead animals as disgusting, offensive and useless things, as trash that should be thrown away and hidden from sight. What many people don't understand, however, is that dead creatures are vital to the survival of many species of animals and their ecosystems. I also consider dead animals to be inherently beautiful throughout all stages of decay. When I photograph a creature, I treat it with respect and attempt to portray it in a way that brings out its beauty. My aim is to show how beautiful, interesting and important these dead animals are, and that they are neither disgusting nor useless creatures.
