The 6th annual Back to the Bricks Cruise Weekend takes place throughout
the Flint area Tuesday, August 17th through Saturday, August 21st. Event Chairman Al Hatch says, “Over the five days last year we had
25,000 cars and 250,000 spectators. We fully expect to exceed both of
those numbers this year."
Here's a quick glimpse at the week's activities:
-
The events kick off at the US 23 Drive-In Theater at 5 pm on Tuesday where there will be a special screening of The World’s Fastest Indian.
-
Wednesday and Thursday feature a rolling cruise over a 13 mile route
with 33 host sites. This begins at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church
in Grand Blanc and ends at The Soggy Bottom Bar in downtown Flint, with
participants being able to jump in anywhere along the way from 5 pm until 10 pm.
-
The main car show will take place in downtown Flint
throughout the day on Friday and Saturday, with a 7 a.m. start time the
first day and 8 a.m. the second. The two days of the show with feature
many activities, events, vendors (including a women’s marketplace on
Saturday), and special guests such as Cindy Williams (Shirley from Laverne & Shirley)
