Dr. Eugene Beckham, Professor of Science and Art at Northwood University, is a renowned illustrator and the artist of Northwood's annual Christmas Card. Gene has also illustrated the Peterson Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes of North America, the Amphibians of Louisiana, and Enjoying Birds in Michigan. Four of his paintings are in the permanent collection of the McIlhenny Library of Natural History and Art and Literature at Louisiana State University.
