Peter Karoly was born the week Tony Bennett's “Rags to Riches” topped the Billboard charts. A graduate of Handy H.S., Central Michigan University, and Marygrove College, he is overeducated and underdegreed. A Bay City schools teacher for 21 years, he is a former newspaperman who has collected over 5,000 albums. He believes, “More is better but vinyl is best.”

Janelle Lake is a very active junior at Bay City Central High School. Her biggest undertaking of 2009-2010 is becoming the newest president of the Gay-Straight Alliance. In addition, she has stepped up to the plate of community involvement on the Youth Advisory Committee in Bay County and participates in drama, the Green Club, and soccer.
